Long time no Outfit Post!

I know it's been for ever since I did an outfit post because you know.....so many reasons!

Anyhoo, here I am! So basically I am bit busy with my work and two exhibitions next month which is why I didn't have anything to post for a while.

But last week, my sister came back home along with her friend. So we decided to show her our city, since her friend is from Malaysia and its her first time in Kolkata.

So our first and only tourist destination, the Victoria Memorial. I wore tangerine jeggings and the overly cliche'd monochrome stripe tunic with gold accessories and a messy hairdo.

Fascinated or Fixated Fridays

Thank God it's Friday! 

I am extra happy since I get a long weekend due to the festival Eid.

So for this week's Fascinated or Fixated Fridays post I thought I will add to my review of 

'A' by Anubha.

For the uninitiated, 'A' by Anubha is a California based high-end designer label of khadi oriented clothing by Anubha Srivastav.

Launched in October last year, 'A' started with the Autumn Winter collection of Khadi jackets and has gone a long way since then. Currently, 'A' supplies jackets to Gotham City Film Studios, a Los Angeles based company, and is available online through her website & Facebook page.

Apart from high-end designer women's wear jackets, 'A' also does smart men's wear jackets for men who dress to impress!

'A' recently launched their Spring Summer range of classy vests & jackets in a myriad of colors. And for a special Indian element, these jackets have a subtle hint of tone on tone chikan embroidery.

       

 

 Appropriate for any occasion, these vests can be styled in various looks. I love the asymmetrical design of the sky blue vest.

I wanted to make products that were ‘happy’ vivacious and full of life.And since colours have always been my weakness my products reflect that. I love working with enamel as it’s a versatile and fun medium to play with. Fascinated or Fixated Fridays

Its weekend time!

Well so I thought I will share my latest designs from my label, Anra, with you all. Also, on this note, let me announce, that I am participating in yet another exciting exhibition in town, called High Street Market via Moda - Monsoon Blues 2013. 

It's happening on 1st August from 11:00 Am to 11:00 Pm. 

So if any of you are in Kolkata and are fashion lovers, do visit my stall, I will be there throughout the day spreading my love for handwoven textiles.

I sometimes wonder how at times I get really fascinated by some trends or colors for a really short while and then there are times when I get too stuck up on certain things as if I am fixated. Like for example, if I talk about colors, every season I have a new favorite. Right now its Coral. But the color that has kept me fixated  forever is Pink.

Anra @ Colors - The Perfect Palette

My first exhibition in Kolkata was a reasonably good experience. It was a three day event wherein a lot of brands had come together to showcase their collections. My stall space was a little small but I tried to make the most out of it. 

So here are a few pictures of my stall -

Moving over to what I was wearing during the event. I wore tunics from my own collection on both days.

Day 1 - I wore the layered vest inspired tunic made with handwoven cotton tant with yellow leggings. This style got sold out on the first day! 

Day 2 - I wore a teal colored tunic made with cotton and silk tant with tangerine jeggings and finished the look with a mustard cotton scarf.

I had a lot of fun meeting new people and making new friends. I am also thankful to my friends and family for all their support. I hope this would prove to be a stepping stone in my career.  *Fingers crossed*
