Fascinated or Fixated Fridays

Thank God it's Friday! 

I am extra happy since I get a long weekend due to the festival Eid.

So for this week's Fascinated or Fixated Fridays post I thought I will add to my review of 

'A' by Anubha.

For the uninitiated, 'A' by Anubha is a California based high-end designer label of khadi oriented clothing by Anubha Srivastav.

Launched in October last year, 'A' started with the Autumn Winter collection of Khadi jackets and has gone a long way since then. Currently, 'A' supplies jackets to Gotham City Film Studios, a Los Angeles based company, and is available online through her website & Facebook page.

Apart from high-end designer women's wear jackets, 'A' also does smart men's wear jackets for men who dress to impress!

'A' recently launched their Spring Summer range of classy vests & jackets in a myriad of colors. And for a special Indian element, these jackets have a subtle hint of tone on tone chikan embroidery.

       

 

 Appropriate for any occasion, these vests can be styled in various looks. I love the asymmetrical design of the sky blue vest.

There's first love, and then there is Color Blocking love!

Last weekend was a time of bliss & going back to nature experience. We went on a family trip to a small village near Shantiniketan, the home town of the Rabindranath Tagore. 

I just bought my first colored jeggings & a striped jacket so I had to do an outfit shoot and with such beautiful surroundings, not much work was required.

We spent two days in a village inspired resort where rooms meant artistically decorated mud houses with basic amenities amidst barren land & foliage, with a few ponds here and there. The place was connected only through roads had no forms of telephonic or electronic communication. It was beautiful & peaceful!

The first day, after we reached, we went to see the Viswa Bharati University campus. The place is beautiful with different departments aptly decorated by the very students.

The whole weekend was spent in peace & quiet with delicious home cooked meals, and did I tell you, the place is heaven for handicraft lovers. You can buy handmade jewelry, leather accessories, batik clothing & material. I will show you some of the things I bought in my next post.
